On December 11, the 2025 “Longmen Forum” event for the high-quality development leading zone of counties, towns and villages around South Kunshan-Luofu Mountain, themed “Seeing Two Mountains, Seeing Symbiosis, Seeing the Future”, was held at the Hilton Huizhou Longmen Resort. Wu Chen, Director of the Resource Development Department of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism; Liang Yuxuan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Huizhou Municipal Government; Zhong Liang, Director of the Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports; Qiu Wenjing, Deputy Director of the Office of the Municipal Headquarters for the “Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns and Ten Thousand Villages High-Quality Development Project”; Liu Hongtian, Secretary of the Longmen County Party Committee; Wang Yang, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee and County Mayor; Gu Huiping, Director of the Standing Committee of the County People’s Congress; and Zhang Zhendong, Deputy County Mayor, attended the event.
Liu Hongtian stated that at present, Longmen is firmly seizing the major opportunity of building the leading zone around South Kunshan-Luofu Mountain, promoting the vigorous development of culture and tourism, and showing a good momentum of breakthroughs in multiple areas and full-scale prosperity across the region. Going forward, Longmen will steadily advance the construction of the leading zone around South Kunshan-Luofu Mountain, actively integrate into the construction of the Wanluhu “Lake +” green development zone, continuously deepen the integration of agriculture, culture and tourism, optimize the business environment, and accelerate the building of an ecological garden in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a world-class forest hot spring health and wellness destination, a model for the modernization of counties, towns and villages with Lingnan characteristics, and a pilot area for integrated urban-rural development.
Qiu Wenjing pointed out that the construction of the leading zone around South Kunshan-Luofu Mountain is an important starting point for Huizhou to thoroughly implement the “Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns and Ten Thousand Villages High-Quality Development Project”. This year, the 218-kilometer “most beautiful tourism highway” fully opened in the leading zone is not only a scenic line connecting mountains and rivers, but also a road to prosperity and development that promotes urban-rural integration and supports the implementation of the “Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns and Ten Thousand Villages High-Quality Development Project”. It has truly realized “integration of roads and scenery, and symbiosis of industry and city”, laying a solid foundation for the coordinated development of the regional cultural and tourism industry.
Wu Zhicai, Dean of the Institute of Tourism Development and Planning of South China University of Technology and a member of the first batch of expert think tanks for the provincial “Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns and Ten Thousand Villages High-Quality Development Project”; Lü Xiaobei, Deputy Dean of the Shenzhen Branch of the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design and a member of the first batch of expert think tanks for the provincial “Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns and Ten Thousand Villages High-Quality Development Project”; and Lü Ningjue, Art Development Director of Shanghai Fengyuzhu Cultural Technology Co., Ltd. and Executive Chief Planner of the “Two Mountains Architectural Art Project”, offered suggestions for the construction of the leading zone around South Kunshan-Luofu Mountain from the perspectives of building an integrated industrial system of agriculture, culture and tourism, the planning and implementation of the leading zone, and art-empowered regional aesthetic value reshaping, respectively.
In addition, the “Longmen Forum” also invited experts and scholars from multiple universities to conduct in-depth discussions on how to promote the high-quality development of the leading zone around South Kunshan-Luofu Mountain from ecological resources and ecological products to ecological cultural and tourism brands; industry leaders from fields such as architecture and homestays focused on the cross-border integration attempts of “cultural tourism + various industries” and talked freely about the infinite imagination of the future industrial space of the leading zone. At the event site, the appointment ceremony of cultural and tourism promotion ambassadors for the leading zone of counties, towns and villages around South Kunshan-Luofu Mountain was also held.
During the event, a tour of exploring Huizhou’s 218-kilometer most beautiful tourism highway by mainstream media in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and cultural and tourism promotion ambassadors of the leading zone around South Kunshan-Luofu Mountain was held simultaneously.
Relevant responsible persons of the Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports; relevant leaders of Zengcheng District and Conghua District of Guangzhou City, and Boluo County of Huizhou City; secretaries of Party committees (working committees, general branches) and responsible persons in charge of various towns (subdistricts, tourist areas, forest farms) in Longmen County; relevant responsible persons of relevant ministries and commissions of the county Party committee; main responsible persons of county-level directly affiliated units and relevant units stationed in Longmen; relevant responsible persons of the Office of the County Headquarters for the “Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns and Ten Thousand Villages High-Quality Development Project”, the provincial vertical assistance team for Longmen County under the “Hundred Counties, Thousand Towns and Ten Thousand Villages High-Quality Development Project”, and the provincial “Double Hundred Action” service team stationed in Longmen County; representatives of local tourism enterprises, heads of homestay brands, and representatives of experts and scholars in Longmen County participated in the event.
