The 2025 Wutong Mountain Climbing Race kicked off at Wutong Mountain Scenic Area on the morning of yesterday. Nearly 1,000 mountain climbing enthusiasts from across China raced their way to the summit of Pengcheng. The one-way race course stretches for approximately 7.5 kilometers with a cumulative elevation gain of 825 meters, passing by scenic spots including Phoenix Terrace and Butterfly Valley.
Having been successfully held for 16 editions, the Wutong Mountain Climbing Race has become a shining hallmark for mass fitness campaigns in Shenzhen and sports exchanges across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
