Special Stamps of “Year of Bingwu” Debut in Conghua

On January 5, the launching ceremony of the 2026 Chinese Zodiac Special Stamps Year of Bingwu was held at the Imperial Springs International Manor. Responsible persons from relevant provincial and municipal departments as well as the postal system, district leaders Sun Zhu and Ruan Weizhi, philatelists, and media representatives attended the event.

At the event site, the Year of Bingwu Special Stamps immediately caught everyone’s attention as soon as they were unveiled. Designed by Wang Hongwei and Zhao Enzhong, the set of two stamps features the themes of “Galloping for Grand Prospects” and “Horses Bringing Abundant Blessings” respectively, which are highly consistent with the spiritual core of Conghua’s thriving horse industry. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Conghua Racecourse Theme Commemorative Stamps were also launched simultaneously at the event, serving as a vivid testimony to the cooperation between Guangzhou and Hong Kong as well as the development of Conghua’s horse industry.

It is reported that Guangzhou has hosted the launching ceremony of Chinese zodiac stamps for 12 consecutive years, which has become a shining urban cultural calling card. This year, the launching ceremony of the Year of the Horse zodiac stamps was held in Conghua for two major reasons: first, Conghua is home to the Hong Kong Jockey Club Conghua Racecourse—the benchmark project of Guangzhou-Hong Kong cooperation that boasts the largest scale and highest standards in mainland China; second, international horse races will be held here this year, which forms a wonderful echo with the recently concluded 15th National Games co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, making the event of extraordinary significance.
