In recent years, the Shenzhen (Longhua) International Cooperation Center has adhered to the philosophy of “Foreign Affairs Serve Enterprises”, focused on empowering the international development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), continuously optimized the international business environment, and systematically built a full-chain international support system covering exhibition services, resource matching and capacity building. By leveraging multi-party efforts to help local enterprises explore the international market, the center has so far facilitated over 1,000 local enterprises in securing procurement orders and cooperation intentions worth more than 30 billion yuan in total.

Fully Building a Dual-support System of Exhibition and Services

The Shenzhen (Longhua) International Cooperation Center is committed to comprehensively empowering enterprise internationalization through physical exhibition platforms and integrated services.

On one hand, it has spared no effort to build the International Marketing Center for Enterprise Products, which centrally displays over 200 technological innovation products from more than 100 enterprises. The center has received over 700 batches of foreign government representatives, journalists, and business delegations from more than 130 countries and regions worldwide. Statistics show that, working in tandem with relevant government departments, chambers of commerce, industry associations and local enterprises, the Shenzhen (Longhua) International Cooperation Center has facilitated over 1,000 local enterprises in clinching procurement orders and cooperation intentions exceeding 30 billion yuan in total to date.

On the other hand, the center has integrated over 500 foreign-related service items in fields such as policy consultation, legal support and commercial services, and set up a dedicated service window for APEC Business Travel Cards. It provides enterprises with a full-process, one-stop service package covering policy interpretation, legal assistance and international talent matching, having served over 200,000 person-times cumulatively.

Continuously Expanding the International Cooperation Resource Network

Taking the opportunity of visiting more than 40 countries and regions, the Shenzhen (Longhua) International Cooperation Center has established friendly exchange and cooperation relations with Covilhã in Portugal and the Autonomous Community of Navarre in Spain. It has built communication bridges and mechanisms with overseas government agencies and industry associations, organically linking “foreign affairs as a bridge” with “economic and trade cooperation as the core” under the “International Friendship City Plus” approach.

Meanwhile, relying on the platform of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the center has extensively expanded its cooperation network with more than 20 UN system organizations, including the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). It has also established in-depth connections with international organizations in the ESG field, such as the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). These efforts have effectively supported the global market expansion and sustainable development needs of over 1,000 SMEs, including Shenzhen Water Planning & Design Institute Co., Ltd., Creality 3D Technology Co., Ltd. and Hithium Energy Storage Co., Ltd.

Focusing on Enhancing Enterprises’ Internationalization Capacity

The Shenzhen (Longhua) International Cooperation Center has focused on key areas such as cross-border e-commerce, industrial globalization, innovation ecosystem development and compliance risk control. It has organized nearly 300 international business promotion activities, including investment seminars and industry matchmaking events, benefiting over 12,000 enterprise participations.

Specialized training programs such as “Capacity Building for Sustainable International Public Procurement” and “ESG and Internationalization Capacity Building for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises” have been held, effectively helping SMEs understand international rules, integrate into the global market and explore sustainable development paths, and assisting some enterprises in becoming long-term suppliers to the United Nations.

In addition, through more than 100 policy interpretation and capacity building activities, such as the eTalk Cross-border E-commerce Training Camp and LawTalk Foreign-related Legal Training Camp, and by regularly publishing the Foreign-related Information Newsletter, the center provides timely and professional overseas development information support to over 10,000 local enterprises.
