Blood Donation Drive in Fuyong Subdistrict, Bao’an District Gathers Warmth in Winter

Fuyong Subdistrict in Shenzhen’s Bao’an District held two voluntary blood donation drives in mid-December, with enthusiastic participation from volunteers and grid staff, donating a total of 40,700 ml blood for public welfare.

In recent days, Fuyong Subdistrict has extensively mobilized people from all walks of life in its jurisdiction to participate in voluntary blood donation services, which has received enthusiastic responses and support from all local government departments, enterprises and public institutions. Successive voluntary blood donation drives have been launched by these departments and organizations one after another.

On December 21, the New Era Civilization Practice Institute of Fuyong Subdistrict, jointly with the Party Branch of the Fuyong Volunteer Federation and Bao’an District Central Blood Station, organized a themed blood donation activity entitled “Blood Donation Renews the Dawn of Life, Volunteerism Shines with Warmth” at Phoenix Mountain Forest Park, drawing a large number of local volunteers to participate.

“On this special day of the Winter Solstice, we are proud to contribute our blood and passion to public welfare and help residents in need.” Said Yang Shuo and Yang Yunlin, two volunteer activists. They have donated blood for a total of 18 times and are active Party membership applicants of the Party Branch of Fuyong Subdistrict Volunteer Federation. Both volunteers stated that they would live up to their youthful responsibilities and serve more citizens. Statistics show that a total of 7,800 ml of blood was donated on the day of the event.

In addition, on December 19, the Grid Comprehensive Management Center of Fuyong Subdistrict held a voluntary blood donation activity themed “One Heart for Volunteerism, Walk Side by Side in Service”. More than 160 grid administrators enthusiastically participated in the drive on that day, among whom 93 successfully donated blood, with a total blood donation volume of 32,900 ml.
