To implement the social force participation mechanism in grassroots governance under the “Hundred-Thousand-Million Project” and further promote the volunteer spirit of “dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress”, Caopuxi Community of Qingshuihe Sub-district in Luohu District held the “Grateful for Walking Together, Baking for Sweetness” volunteer recognition activity on December 7, 2025. Integrating baking skills training, honor recognition and achievement sharing, this event not only reviewed the volunteer service work over the past year, but also strongly promoted the new pattern of community governance featuring joint construction, joint governance and shared benefits.
At the start of the event, volunteers transformed into “dessert makers” and joined hands in making egg tarts. They carefully poured the prepared egg liquid into the tart shells, with every step embodying their dedication and the joy of cooperation. Amidst laughter and cheerful chatter, plates of egg tarts carrying deep affection for the community were sent into the oven. Subsequently, the event moved into the solemn and touching recognition session. A carefully produced short video comprehensively reviewed the touching moments of volunteer services: from nearly 30 environmental improvement campaigns carried out by the “Bending Down Action Group”, to the patient explanations of anti-fraud propagandists going from street to street; from the focused expressions of “little teachers” tutoring earnestly in youth public welfare classes, to the busy figures of volunteers at various cultural activities. In recognition of the volunteers’ outstanding contributions, two awards were presented at the event: the “Excellent Youth Volunteer Service Award” and the “Most Beautiful Community Volunteer Award”. The recipients of the “Excellent Youth Volunteer Service Award” demonstrated the sense of responsibility and creativity of young people in the new era through their services in public welfare classes during winter and summer vacations. The backbone winners of the “Most Beautiful Community Volunteer Award”, with their long-term perseverance, selfless dedication and positive leading role, have become the benchmarks and core force of community volunteer services.
With food as the medium and affection as the link, this event successfully integrated the core of the volunteer spirit with the construction of the community community, and effectively conveyed the community governance concept of “everyone participates, everyone contributes and everyone shares” to all residents.
