“City of the Sky” Gains New Wings

On Dec 10, Shenzhen’s Dapeng New Area UAV Test Base launched, showcasing low-altitude aircraft. As a key part of the city’s “1+5+4” low-altitude infrastructure, it covers 20.2 sqkm of airspace and 200 sqkm of maritime test flight area.

On December 10, the Dapeng New Area UAV Test Base was officially put into operation. At the scene, aircraft from multiple low-altitude enterprises were displayed collectively, attracting guests to stop and watch.

As an important part of Shenzhen’s “1+5+4” low-altitude innovation infrastructure system, the base is located in the Bagguang area. Invested in, constructed and operated by Shenzhen Urban Transport Low-Altitude Operation Company, it has a low-altitude airspace suitable for flight with a true height of 600 meters (over 3,000 meters in specific areas) and a total area of 20.2 square kilometers. The extended sea area forms a maritime test flight space of approximately 200 square kilometers.
