Delegation from Dubai Chamber of Commerce Visits Nanshan, Shenzhen

Both Sides Conduct In-depth Exchanges on Deepening Economic and Trade Cooperation and Expanding Industrial Complementarity

Recently, a delegation from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce visited Nanshan, Shenzhen. An economic and trade dialogue connecting a highland of scientific and technological innovation with a global hub was held at the Global Service Center. The two sides conducted pragmatic exchanges on issues such as deepening economic and trade cooperation, expanding industrial complementarity, and jointly building a service system, laying a solid foundation for subsequent cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce expressed strong interest in the “going global” ecosystem for enterprises and professional service model built by the Global Service Center. “It is impressive that the Global Service Center has been able to provide such comprehensive and professional services for Chinese enterprises ‘going global’ in just eight months,” a member of the delegation praised during the exchange, and asked whether the center had successful cases of facilitating the two-way flow of enterprises between the two places.

“We have established a regular cooperation mechanism with institutions such as the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and the Abu Dhabi Khalifa Economic Zone to provide full-chain cross-border service support for enterprises,” a representative of the Global Service Center stated. The holding of this forum is exactly the result of solid prior docking efforts. From initial connectivity to in-person offline docking, and then to the co-hosting of the themed event “Intelligent Manufacturing Going Global · Compliance Escort” in June last year, the two sides have built a stable regular cooperation mechanism.

Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, spoke highly of the model of the Global Service Center. “Dubai also has similar service platforms, and we are very willing to become a partner of the Global Service Center to jointly support the two-way development of enterprises in both places,” he said. He particularly mentioned that DP World manages 92 ports around the world, with approximately 90% of China-related trade business transiting through its ports. In the future, it can explore in-depth cooperation with the Global Service Center in logistics services.

The visit of the delegation from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce is not only a high-level dialogue on economic and trade relations between the two places, but also a vivid demonstration of the international service capabilities of the Global Service Center. The Global Service Center is accelerating the construction of a “Five-Service” system covering “commerce, legal affairs, taxation, finance, and administrative affairs”, becoming an important supporting platform for Nanshan enterprises to expand overseas and for foreign-funded enterprises to develop in-depth in China. With the further clarification of cooperation intentions between the two sides in industries, finance, logistics, innovation and other fields, Nanshan and Dubai are expected to yield more pragmatic results in such sectors as the digital economy, high-end manufacturing, and cross-border trade, jointly writing a new chapter of economic and trade cooperation.
