Just as a series of new photos have for the first time lifted the veil on Jeffrey Epstein’s mysterious Caribbean island, reports indicate that political circles are refocusing their attention on the late sex offender’s hidden inland stronghold in the United States. Two political figures have officially submitted a request calling for a renewed investigation into Epstein’s activities at his remote ranch in New Mexico.

Known as “Zorro Ranch”, this property once served as a venue where Epstein hosted numerous prominent and powerful friends, and his former lover and long-time accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell was also a permanent resident here—it was she who helped with the interior decoration and further highlighted the sex offender’s bizarre and distorted aesthetic tastes.
Why Epstein Chose to Settle in New Mexico
With the highly anticipated Epstein Files set to be released, two Democratic lawmakers in New Mexico have publicly pledged to establish a special “truth commission” aimed at thoroughly investigating Epstein’s various activities at the ranch located on the outskirts of Santa Fe.
Santa Fe City Councilor Andrea Romero pointed out sharply that Epstein’s choice to settle in the state was by no means accidental and must have had profound motives behind it. “We have learned from multiple sources that New Mexico turned out to be an excellent location for carrying out such (illegal sex trafficking) activities. This reality is truly chilling.”
John W. Day, a criminal defense attorney in New Mexico, revealed to the media that this southern state has long been overlooked by the outside world, and this marginalized status has instead provided it with a certain degree of cover.
“New Mexico is generally quite remote, and many things can easily escape the scrutiny of regulatory authorities,” Day explained. “It has a sparse population and a vast territory, and to some extent, people often don’t even regard it as one of the fifty U.S. states, as if it were a forgotten enclave.”

How Much Did the Staff Know?
During his lifetime, Epstein owned Little Saint James and Great Saint James in the Atlantic Ocean, and the wild parties hosted here by the financier and his circle of well-known powerful friends have long become dark legends circulating among the public. Now, the legislature is attempting to find out whether “Zorro Ranch” also harbors similar, as-yet-unexposed criminal secrets.
“Our current understanding of what happened in the Caribbean region mainly comes from the first-hand testimonies of victims,” Day analyzed. “Although we have not yet heard public statements from victims in New Mexico to the same extent, it would be naive to think that the ranch was not used for the same purposes.”
Day insisted that there must still be insiders in the local area who know the truth about Epstein’s massive 26,700-square-foot ranch.
“The intensity of activities here has somehow escaped outside attention,” Day said. “The ranch must have employed staff, helpers, and had people coming and going. How is this essentially different from the situation on the islands?”
Inside the Ranch
In 2019, the son of a maintenance worker who was permanently stationed at the estate described the interior of Epstein’s horse ranch to the outside world, which was filled with a weird atmosphere, displaying medieval armor, animal specimens, various firearms, and a large number of nude paintings.
Ian Royal revealed at the time: “There is a collection of truly high-end medieval artifacts here. Not only are there complete sets of armor, but there is also an astronomical observatory with a telescope, arranged like a small private study.”
He continued to describe the disturbing atmosphere: “That huge living room was almost like a scene from Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories, giving the feeling that a secret room mechanism could appear at any time—such as pulling out a book and the bookshelf would move automatically.”
Finally, Royal also disclosed a detail: “In the room next to the theater room, there is an antique gun cabinet filled with old rifles from the Civil War period. These precious firearms were casually displayed in a cabinet next to the kitchen.”

New Perspectives on “Epstein Island”
Earlier this month, the House Oversight Committee, which is responsible for investigating Epstein’s death, released a set of photos—the clearest real-life images of the sex offender’s island stronghold that have been available to the public so far.
These new photos, taken by the U.S. Virgin Islands authorities in 2020, comprehensively show multiple rooms inside the residential buildings on the island and the surrounding landscapes, revealing bizarre details behind the luxury.
Among this series of photos, a close-up of a telephone is particularly striking, with the names of several “speed dial” contacts deliberately blacked out, which has once again sparked wild speculation from the outside world about the identities of his behind-the-scenes network.
Another extremely uncomfortable photo shows that there seems to be a temporary dental clinic on the island, with a dental chair prominently placed in the center of the room. Even more bizarrely, the walls of the room are decorated with various masks—and the two masks hanging above the window resemble the classic comedy duo Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, making this absurd decoration particularly terrifying under the current circumstances.
