On the morning of December 6, the launching ceremony of the 2025 Guancheng Sub-district Happy Family Sailing Initiative and the Family Education and Family Tradition Practice Base of Guancheng Children’s Palace, as well as the opening ceremony of the children’s themed painting exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, themed “Childlike Hearts Toward the Party to Inherit Glory, Family Traditions Nourish Hearts to Start a New Journey”, was held at Guancheng Children’s Palace.
Co-hosted by the Guancheng Women’s Federation, the Publicity, Education, Culture, Sports and Tourism Office of Guancheng Sub-district, the Guancheng Education Management Center and Guancheng Children’s Palace, the event aimed to deeply integrate patriotic education with family tradition inheritance, and create a social atmosphere that values family civilization and promotes the healthy growth of children. Leaders including Zhang Qi, member of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Municipal Women’s Federation, and Zhang Yonghong and Lai Zhihua, members of the Party Working Committee of Guancheng Sub-district, attended the event.
The event kicked off with an inspiring lion dance performance. In his speech, Zhang Yonghong pointed out that Guancheng has a profound historical and cultural heritage and abundant educational resources, and the sub-district has always taken the construction of family, family education and family traditions as a key starting point for grassroots governance and people’s livelihood improvement. In the future, taking this launch as an opportunity, the sub-district will give full play to the role of the practice base of the Children’s Palace, integrate resources in the jurisdiction, and carry out regular patriotic education and family tradition cultivation activities.
Subsequently, the Guancheng Sub-district Happy Family Sailing Initiative and the Family Education and Family Tradition Practice Base of Guancheng Children’s Palace were officially unveiled. Relying on the educational resources of the Children’s Palace, the base will carry out themed practical activities and explore new modes of collaborative education. After the ceremony, the choir of Guancheng Children’s Palace sang Red Flag Fluttering, and the students of the anchor group recited Walking with the Times, Praising the Prosperous China, showing the feelings of children inheriting the red gene and aspiring to serve the country through artistic forms.
As an important part of the event, the “Childlike Hearts Looking Back · Painting and Recalling Glory” children’s themed painting exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression opened simultaneously. It is understood that this exhibition collected more than 300 works created by the students of the Children’s Palace, reviewing history, cherishing the memory of martyrs, and praising peace and development from the perspective of children. It is worth mentioning that the exhibition was explained by young commentators, who vividly interpreted the patriotic feelings and historical thinking behind the works.
This event is an important measure for Guancheng Sub-district to deepen the construction of family civilization and expand the function of educating people.
