On December 21, the first session of Foshan’s serial themed campaign “Civilization Practice in Parks” kicked off warmly at Asia Arts Park in Chancheng District. As a major initiative for Foshan to expand and extend the positions of civilization practice, the campaign integrates the concept of civilization into people’s daily experience through interactive garden tours, flash performances and other popular forms among the public. It guides citizens to enhance their civilized literacy in joyful participation, and jointly creates a festive atmosphere of joy, peace, civility and order.
Shortly after 10 a.m., the square at the main gate of Asia Arts Park was bustling with people and filled with warm vibes, with various distinctive interactive zones arranged in an orderly manner, attracting citizens to stop and experience one after another. On the “Civilization Flash Stage”, the melodious tune of Beautiful Greater Foshan was played first; the lively singing and dancing show Waste Sorting, a New Trend popularized environmental protection knowledge in an engaging way; and the immersive situational performance Good Manners Go with Us, Jointly Writing a New Chapter of China sowed the seeds of civilization deep in the audience’s hearts through emotional resonance.
Long queues formed in front of the interactive game booths. The large outdoor chessboard of the “Civilized Traffic Flight Chess” booth stood out prominently, where parents played the dice and moved the chess pieces with their children, learning traffic rules through fun interactions.
The card-flipping quiz session at the “Civilization Wisdom House” was also a huge hit. Staff members carefully prepared quiz questions on civilized knowledge closely related to daily life, such as civilized travel and civilized pet raising, which drew enthusiastic participation from citizens.
In addition to fun interactions, the campaign also set up a convenient service area, joining hands with community hospitals and physical examination centers to provide citizens with thoughtful services including rapid blood pressure and blood glucose tests.
This event was sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Foshan Municipal Committee and the Foshan Municipal Civilization Office, and organized by the Foshan News Media Center. Subsequent sessions of the campaign will be successively held in more urban parks, integrating the concept of civilization into citizens’ daily life and forging a strong synergy for the whole society to jointly build and share a civilized city.
