Recently, the special skills training course on AI Short Video Creation and New Media Marketing, hosted by the Futian District Comprehensive Service Center for Persons with Disabilities, was successfully held at the Employment and Entrepreneurship Ecological Base for Persons with Disabilities in Futian District. After two days of immersive learning, 53 people with disabilities from all subdistricts of the district have systematically mastered core skills including AI short video creation and live stream e-commerce operation, laying a solid foundation for exploring new pathways to flexible employment.

AI Video Editing Training
Professional lecturers from the AI Evening School were specially invited to deliver this training course. The curriculum focused on two core modules: AI Short Video Creation and New Media Marketing, covering practical skills such as intelligent script generation, AI digital human application, AI video editing, multi-platform intelligent distribution, optimization of live streaming sales scripts and data analysis.
In the AI video production sessions, lecturer Meng Chuanming delivered a highly practical hands-on teaching session packed with actionable insights. Combining tools such as Jimeng AI and CapCut, he started with the basic process of “text-to-image and image-to-video”, and gradually explained advanced techniques including split-screen transitions and intelligent subtitles, guiding the trainees to practice hands-on operations. Meanwhile, the lecturer shared practical methods such as keyword optimization and parameter adjustment, helping trainees improve the quality of content generation and effectively avoid copyright risks. “I used to think video production had a high threshold, but now I can create exquisite materials with just a mobile phone and finish editing with one click—it’s so convenient!” shared Xiao He, a trainee with a physical disability at the scene.

Hands-on Guidance for Video Editing
In the new media marketing course, senior lecturer Liu Dayong analyzed the underlying logic of live streaming e-commerce through vivid real cases. From the differentiated positioning of mainstream platforms such as Douyin and WeChat Channels, to the practical application of the three core elements of “host, products and livestream setting”, and then to the skills of live stream script writing and traffic conversion, the lecturer transformed complex theoretical knowledge into easy-to-understand and applicable practical methods. The course also specially selected low-cost products such as “9.9-yuan phone holders”, organized trainees to conduct simulated live streaming sales drills, and provided detailed guidance on script design and other specifics, helping everyone initially establish a mindset for live stream operation.
Break-time Guidance for Simulated Live Streaming Sales Drills
Upon the completion of the training, each trainee independently created their own exclusive new media works, achieving a leap from being an “AI novice” to “skill entry-level proficiency”. The trainees not only recognized the value of AI in content creation, but also initially mastered practical skills such as short video production and live streaming e-commerce, providing strong support for their future engagement in online part-time jobs or entrepreneurship. Going forward, the District Disabled Persons’ Federation will continue to deepen the digital intelligence skills training model, expand more market-oriented course content, help more people with disabilities master digital skills, and enable them to realize their self-worth in the new media era.
