In Fuyong Sub-district, the Party Branch of the Volunteer Federation has actively implemented the “Party Building + Volunteer Service” model. It has carefully set up 12 specialized volunteer service teams covering sectors such as medical care, culture, and art, and reaped fruitful results of the new-era civilization through concrete actions.
Strengthening Party Building Leadership to Stimulate Volunteer Service Vitality
The year 2025 was an extremely busy one for the Party Branch of Fuyong Sub-district Volunteer Federation as it fulfilled its important role as a “Party Branch Lighthouse”. Throughout the year, the Party Branch has always adhered to the guidance of Party building, deeply integrated volunteer services with grassroots governance, and injected strong social organization forces into building a new pattern of co-construction, co-governance and shared benefits for grassroots governance.
In the lecture hall of Fuyong Sub-district New-era Civilization Practice Center, the Party Branch carried out in-depth Party history learning and education activities for public volunteers, guiding both public and young volunteers to take active responsibilities in their work, study and volunteer activities, and bravely shoulder the era mission of building a strong country and rejuvenating the nation. Yang Shaolong, Secretary of the Party Branch, attached great importance to theoretical learning. He not only promoted the theoretical development of public volunteer teams, but also organized Party member volunteers to form a “Pioneer Lecture Group” that went deep into communities, enterprises and schools. Using forms popular among the public, the group interpreted the Party’s guidelines and policies, carrying out more than 40 lecture activities throughout the year and covering over 5,000 participants.
Diversified Services in Parallel to Extend the Reach of Charitable Initiatives
Since 2025, based on social needs, the Party Branch of Fuyong Sub-district Volunteer Federation has carefully established 12 specialized volunteer teams, including medical services, ecological conservation, harmonious reading, cultural and artistic programs, and garbage classification, building a comprehensive, professional and efficient volunteer service system.
Among them, the Cultural and Artistic Volunteer Team has particularly stood out. Established by the Party Branch in 2025, this specialized team has brought together 292 literary and artistic enthusiasts in the district. They disseminated the Party’s innovative theories through artistic forms and successively held 16 themed art performances, such as “Celebrating the Party’s Birthday” and “Civilized Ecology”. At the opening ceremony of the 2026 series of activities of Fuyong Sub-district New-era Civilization Practice Center, 74 literary and artistic volunteers expressed their profound affection for the motherland and the Party to the community residents through song performances and wonderful dances. Since its establishment, the team has staged 11 performances in multiple communities, covering themes such as civilized reading and ecological conservation, creating a strong atmosphere for civilization construction.
In addition, the Party Branch has actively promoted multi-organization collaboration in the district. It has coordinated with the Youth League Committee of Fuyong People’s Hospital to carry out free medical consultation services in communities, organized the Qinjiang Volunteer Service Team to participate in river patrols and tree-planting campaigns for green protection, and joined hands with Baishixia Community to promote nationwide reading, making volunteer services more targeted, professional and diversified.
In terms of charitable initiatives, the Party Branch has actively integrated social resources to develop the signature “Charity Journey Across Miles” project. In 2025 alone, the project delivered more than 7,400 pieces of charitable supplies and teaching equipment, along with over 5,000 donated books, to mountainous areas. Launched in 2023, the project has expanded from an initial 4 participating organizations to 71 current ones, with a cumulative donation of more than 11,000 items, and participating units spread across multiple districts including Bao’an and Nanshan.
Looking ahead, the Party Branch of Fuyong Sub-district Volunteer Federation will continue to deepen the “Party Building + Volunteer Service” model, further expand service areas and innovate service forms. Through various means such as wish lists and material assistance, it will contribute more volunteer forces to grassroots community volunteer services and cross-regional care delivery, allowing the flowers of new-era civilization to bloom brilliantly in Fuyong Sub-district.
