To further advance drug prevention education among teenagers, enhance minors’ awareness of the harms of drugs, and improve their knowledge of anti-drug work as well as their ability to identify and reject drugs, on the morning of December 10, the Peace and Legal Affairs Office of Longhua Town entered Longhua Middle School and meticulously organized a themed anti-drug knowledge contest and publicity education activity titled “Anti-Drug Knowledge Competition Arena, Teenagers Show Their Prowess”, bringing a vivid and profound anti-drug education lesson to the students.
At the start of the activity, staff distributed anti-drug publicity and education brochures to the students. The brochures were rich in content, covering various aspects of knowledge such as the definition of drugs, characteristics of new-type drugs, types of precursor chemicals, and the severe harms caused by drugs. The staff also explained on-site basic knowledge to the students, including what drugs are, what new-type drugs exist, and what substances are included in precursor chemicals, enabling the students to establish a preliminary understanding of drugs.
Subsequently, the intense and exciting anti-drug knowledge contest officially kicked off. The contest was conducted in groups, and the questions were closely tailored to the physical and mental characteristics of students in this age group. Taking into account that teenagers are curious and easily influenced by peers, the contest questions focused on common drug knowledge and were carefully designed based on scenarios of drug traps that students might encounter in daily life. During the competition, the students actively thought and answered questions enthusiastically, demonstrating a strong interest in anti-drug knowledge and a solid knowledge reserve.
After the contest, the staff conducted an in-depth and detailed explanation of the contest content. They focused on introducing the common types, prominent characteristics, and great harms of drugs, and particularly emphasized that current new-type drugs are emerging one after another with a wide variety, and they are highly concealed and deceptive. The staff also reminded the students to remain highly vigilant in daily life, not to eat “three-no” food (no manufacturer, no quality certificate, no production date) provided by others, so as to avoid falling into drug traps.
Through this anti-drug knowledge contest, the students’ awareness of drug prevention has been significantly strengthened. All of them expressed that they will establish the correct life concept of “Healthy Life, Green and Drug-Free” and consciously stay away from drugs. Going forward, Longhua Town will continue to carry out diverse and content-rich anti-drug publicity and education activities, escort the healthy growth of teenagers, and jointly create a drug-free and harmonious social environment.
