“Golden Ideas” from Guangzhou Business Community Fuel High-Quality Development of Guangzhou! “Guangzhou Business Public Proposals” Initiative Launched

Guangzhou launches “Guangzhou Business Public Proposals” initiative to gather private entrepreneurs’ “golden ideas” for high-quality development, with submissions via GFIC or the WeChat mini-program.

Recently, the “Working Together for Economy, Striving Forward in the 15th Five-Year Plan Period” — “Guangzhou Business Public Proposals” Policy Advocacy and Information Dissemination Training Course, jointly organized by the General Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce (GFIC) and the Cyberspace Affairs Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee, was held in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou.

Over 110 participants attended the event, including relevant leaders and department heads from the Proposal Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal CPPCC, the Cyberspace Affairs Office of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee and GFIC; deputies to people’s congresses, CPPCC members at all levels and representatives of the non-public sector of the economy from Guangzhou’s business community; think tank experts of GFIC and experts from mainstream media at provincial and municipal levels; information dissemination directors of various chambers of commerce, associations and producer service organizations; as well as directors of district federations of industry and commerce.

Huang Jiefeng, Secretary-General of the Guangzhou Municipal CPPCC, reviewed the progress and fruitful achievements of the business community’s participation in policy advocacy and information work this year. He encouraged private entrepreneurs to root themselves in Guangzhou, serve the city, dedicate themselves to its development, actively participate in the planning of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and contribute wisdom and efforts to the high-quality economic development of Guangzhou.

He introduced that the special “Guangzhou Business Public Proposals” initiative aims to establish a “direct train” for proposals, accurately collect “golden ideas” from private entrepreneurs, and provide strong reference for the scientific decision-making of the Party committees and governments. He expressed the hope that taking this event as a starting point, private entrepreneurs will further build consensus on the development of the “Guangzhou business community”, focus closely on Guangzhou’s industrial development direction, put forward more golden ideas and good strategies, and inject new vitality into the development of Guangzhou’s private economy.

During the event, relevant responsible persons of GFIC issued Adoption Certificates to active participants in policy advocacy, including Cao Zhiwei, Cheng Xi, Xie Yong, Zhu Jinying, Liu Hongli, Xu Kefei, as well as the Nansha, Haizhu, Baiyun and Panyu District Federations of Industry and Commerce.

Responsible persons from relevant departments awarded Guo Xiaoxin and Xie Yong the Certificates of Most Popular Entrepreneurs for the “BOSS Code” series of short videos. Meanwhile, GFIC officials presented an Adoption Certificate to Cao Guojun, director of a non-public enterprise Party organization that has actively offered advice and suggestions.

The training course also invited well-known CPPCC members and experts from various fields to give lectures on policy advocacy and information dissemination, and included sessions such as exchange seminars and on-site teaching. In the on-site teaching session, participants visited Sofia Home Furnishing Co., Ltd., personally experiencing the enterprise’s resolve to deepen intelligent manufacturing, and gaining a deeper understanding of the responsibility and perseverance of outstanding private enterprises in Guangzhou to work diligently in the new era and lead the high-quality development of the industry.

It is reported that the General Office of the Guangzhou Municipal CPPCC and GFIC have recently jointly issued the Notice on Organizing the Special “Guangzhou Business Public Proposals” Activity. The themed event of “Working Together for Economy, Striving Forward in the 15th Five-Year Plan Period” is launched to collect “golden ideas” with stronger “industrial characteristics” and “international characteristics” that help Guangzhou build a modern industrial system and develop new productive forces, turning the “voice of Guangzhou business community” into practical measures and good strategies for promoting the high-quality development of Guangzhou’s private economy.

Through the unique contact channels of CPPCC organizations at all levels and the “Federation of Industry and Commerce Around Us”, the activity extensively collects “Guangzhou Business Public Proposals” via ten channels. These channels include chairman enterprises of federations of industry and commerce and information direct reporting points, key contact and service enterprises such as “Four Good” chambers of commerce and “New Guangzhou Businessmen”, government-enterprise communication service centers, business community representatives and CPPCC members, overseas enterprise chambers of commerce and Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao chamber of commerce cooperation platforms, “Double Strong and Six Good” non-public enterprise Party organizations, and the Legal and Compliance Construction Special Committee of GFIC, giving full play to the organizational advantage of CPPCC members in connecting with people from all sectors.

In addition, the activity will leverage the think tank role of the Guangzhou Institute for the Promotion of Private Economic Development and the 10 Special Committees of GFIC for Promoting the Construction of Modern Industrial System. Combining with the consultation and supervision plan of the Guangzhou Municipal CPPCC and the key work of GFIC, it will carry out daily, thematic and special solicitations, forming an incubation, cultivation and improvement matrix of “Guangzhou Business Public Proposals”.

“Golden ideas” from private economy practitioners across the city, as well as federations of industry and commerce at all levels, chambers of commerce and associations, grassroots chambers of commerce and non-public enterprise Party organizations in Guangzhou can be submitted by contacting GFIC or scanning the QR code of the “Public Proposals” WeChat mini-program.
