Recently, the Briefing on the 10th Plenary Session of the 13th CPC Liwan District Committee of Guangzhou was successfully held. Leaders in charge of the District Party Committee, representatives from all fields of the district’s united front work, and all cadres of the United Front Work Department of the District Party Committee attended the meeting.
The meeting emphasized three key points as follows:
- Enhance political standing and deeply grasp the contemporary connotations and practical significance of the plenary session spirit. Efforts should be made to integrate the study of the spirit of the District Party Committee Plenary Session with a thorough understanding of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions delivered during his inspection tour of Guangdong and his attendance at the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games, as well as the spirit of the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. Learning should be conducted in a coordinated and practical manner to resolutely unify thoughts and actions with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions and the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee. We must strengthen confidence, deeply understand the opportunities and challenges in the district’s development, tell the stories of Liwan well, and promote the implementation of the plenary session spirit and the requirements of the 15th Five-Year Plan in the united front field with a strong sense of political responsibility.
- Focus on core tasks and fully demonstrate the unique advantages and responsible actions of the united front. We should enhance the influence of the brand “I Contribute an Idea to Liwan”, give play to the united front’s strengths of gathering numerous talents and intensive intellectual resources, actively offer suggestions centering on key tasks such as the implementation of the “Hundred-Thousand-Ten-Thousand Project”, the cultivation of new quality productive forces, and the construction of the “1283” modern industrial system, so as to form a number of forward-looking and constructive opinions and suggestions. We should actively build bridges for exchanges and cooperation between Liwan District, the Hong Kong – Macao – Taiwan regions and overseas areas, attract high-quality resources such as capital, technology and talents to settle in the district, and inject vitality into Liwan’s development. We must consolidate the sense of the Chinese nation community, adhere to the direction of sinicization of religions in China, timely identify and resolve potential conflicts and hazards in the field of ethnic and religious affairs, and jointly maintain social harmony and stability. We should also actively establish a communication platform between the government and enterprises to help solve difficulties and problems encountered in production and operation and contribute to optimizing the business environment.
- Strengthen coordination and joint efforts to lay a solid foundation for the development of the united front cause. We will continue to build an all – round united front work pattern, further improve the institutional system of united front work, and pool joint efforts for work. We should continuously improve the political literacy and professional capabilities of united front cadres, strengthen the self – development of united front members in all fields, and build a team with firm political convictions and excellent professional skills. This will create a dynamic situation where the united front department takes the lead, all fields promote the work in coordination, and the majority of members participate actively, so as to fully demonstrate the cohesion and centripetal force of the united front.
