Recently, the municipal transportation department organized the Liaison Meeting of the Joint Coordinated Regulation Conference for the online car-hailing industry in Guangzhou. Relevant personnel from the Cyberspace Administration of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, the Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, the Municipal Taxation Bureau and the Guangdong Branch of the People’s Bank of China attended the meeting.
The meeting briefed participants on the recent development of the city’s online car-hailing industry. All participating units conducted in-depth research and discussions on the current difficult and hot issues in the industry. All parties at the meeting exchanged views on the coordinated regulation of the online car-hailing industry.
The meeting emphasized that all relevant units should further strengthen communication and coordination, carry out special regulatory rectification on the behavior of online car-hailing platforms operating services outside their place of registration, accelerate the research on social insurance participation of online car-hailing drivers as employees in new forms of employment, and actively explore the work-related injury recognition mechanism for online car-hailing drivers.
