Guangzhou “Talent Recruitment Group” Brings Over 14,000 High-Quality Jobs

On December 27, Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center was bustling with activity as the “Talents Gathering in Southern Guangdong” Large-Scale Autumn Comprehensive Job Fair kicked off grandly. A total of 1,825 key employers released more than 65,000 high-quality positions, attracting over 120,000 students from more than 1,700 universities at home and abroad to register. Among them, the Guangzhou “Talent Recruitment Group” composed of 460 employers stood out prominently—bringing over 14,000 high-quality jobs and opening the door of opportunities for talented individuals.

21 Cities Across the Province Collaborate; Nearly Half of the Positions Offer Annual Salary Over 200,000 Yuan

Organized through the collaborative efforts of 21 cities in the province, the job fair built a talent introduction matrix covering all industries, the entire province and the whole industrial chain, forming a strong talent attraction “magnetic field”.

Various high-quality employers participated in groups, fully demonstrating the leading enterprise effect and industrial vitality—over 40 Fortune Global 500 companies including Huawei, Tencent and BYD brought core positions; more than 300 listed companies such as TCL and UBtech released massive demand; over 400 “Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique and Novel” enterprises like New Energy and DeepRoute.ai showcased their innovation potential; more than 250 central and provincial state-owned enterprises including China General Nuclear Power Group, China Southern Power Grid and China Southern Airlines provided stable development opportunities; over 50 scientific research institutes such as Guangdong Academy of Sciences, Guangzhou Laboratory and Peng Cheng Laboratory, as well as more than 360 universities and hospitals including Sun Yat-sen University and Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital, built a stage for scientific research and professional and technical talents to display their capabilities.

The newly established “Chain Leader Enterprise Zone” became a major highlight. Eight well-known chain leader enterprises including BYD, Gree, Tencent and China Southern Power Grid took the lead, joining hands with over 80 upstream and downstream supply chain enterprises for group recruitment, and collectively demonstrating the talent demand of the entire industrial chain. Tencent integrated its business groups and ecological companies for “package recruitment”, and China Southern Power Grid participated with its subsidiaries in energy storage, ultra-high voltage and other fields, helping job seekers “one-stop” connect with high-quality positions in the industrial chain.

The salary and benefits of many positions are highly competitive. Nearly half of the positions offer an annual salary of over 200,000 yuan, more than 4,000 positions have an annual salary ranging from 500,000 to 1 million yuan, and over 600 positions offer an annual salary of more than 1 million yuan. The salary for core positions targeting doctors, postdoctoral researchers and leading talents is negotiable with “no upper limit”, fully reflecting Guangdong’s sincerity in attracting talents.

Guangzhou’s “Main Force” in Emerging Industries Releases Strong Demand

The lineup of Guangzhou’s recruiting enterprises was impressive—Fortune Global 500 companies demonstrated their international style; state-owned enterprises and public institutions laid a solid foundation for employment; high-tech enterprises, listed companies, “Specialized, Sophisticated, Unique and Novel” enterprises, manufacturing single champion enterprises and postdoctoral research stations gathered together, forming the “main force” of Guangzhou’s strategic emerging industries and advanced manufacturing, and jointly releasing Guangzhou’s innovative signal for the future.

A long queue formed in front of the booth of Kingfa Sci. & Tech. Co., Ltd. This year, the company launched more than 800 positions covering R&D, marketing, operation and other fields. “We have specially increased the salary of sales engineers this year, making their annual salary equal to that of R&D positions,” said the recruitment director. Different from ordinary sales, this position requires professionals who understand both technology and market, can grasp material properties and provide solutions for customers. The resumes in his hand have piled up into a thick stack. “Due to the wide coverage of positions and large demand, the overall matching degree between job seekers’ majors and positions is relatively high.”

CVTE brought 270 positions to the fair. Technical positions include embedded hardware engineers, power supply hardware engineers and embedded system software engineers, all adopting the “ability-based salary system” to recruit talents extensively. “We have multiple new projects under incubation and industrial parks under construction in many parts of the country, and are in urgent need of curious young people who dare to take challenges to join us,” said the campus recruitment director of the company. On-site, the company has received resumes from outstanding students of South China University of Technology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Macau University of Science and Technology and some overseas universities.

Reporters saw that as a chain leader enterprise, Guangzhou XPeng Motors gathered 13 related enterprises to participate in the fair, with the highest salary of on-site positions reaching 2 million yuan per year. According to its director of human resources, some R&D-focused positions such as robot multimodal large model R&D and autonomous driving R&D offer high salaries and have high requirements for talents, mainly targeting masters and doctors.

GRG Banking recruited senior algorithm engineers on-site with high salaries, offering an annual salary of 400,000 to 600,000 yuan. “The algorithm engineer positions mainly focus on cutting-edge directions such as industry large models and embodied intelligent robots. At present, the matching degree of received resumes is quite ideal, and interviews are expected to be arranged within a week,” introduced Wei Binfeng, human resources manager of GRG Banking. This year, the company has participated in more than ten “Talents Gathering in Southern Guangdong” series of recruitment activities, efficiently connecting with job seekers from different backgrounds to help the enterprise find talents.

Guangzhou Becomes the First Choice for Many Students

Adhering to the principle of “Heroes are not judged by their origins”, the job fair is open to various talents including fresh graduates, interns, students at home and abroad, and skilled elites, covering all job-seeking channels and showing full sincerity for development. The academic requirements are widely adaptable: the fair provided nearly 9,000 positions for doctors, over 12,000 positions for masters, and more than 35,000 positions for undergraduates on-site. Enterprises such as Fangda Group, XPeng Motors and Sunwoda also offered over 8,000 positions for college diploma holders, covering all types of talents from high-end R&D talents to skilled talents.

Guangzhou has become the first choice for many students. Ms. Yang, a student majoring in safety engineering at Nanjing Tech University, took a special leave to come to the fair. “I interviewed with 10 enterprises in one go, and all of them are highly matching with my major.” She has submitted resumes to several Guangzhou enterprises. “There are many opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, and the employment environment in Guangzhou is particularly attractive to me, and the treatment offered by enterprises is also very generous.”

The types of positions are rich and diverse, covering both formal positions for fresh graduates and over 10,000 internship opportunities for the class of 2027 graduates. Huang Zhuokai, a Pakistani doctoral student at Harbin Institute of Technology, was carefully reading the recruitment information. “Although I will not graduate until next year, I came in advance to feel the development pulse of the Greater Bay Area,” he said in fluent Chinese. “The opportunities here are exactly what I am looking for.”

The relevant person in charge of the School of Software and Artificial Intelligence of Jiangxi Vocational College of Information Application held a stack of resumes and came specially from Jiangxi to help students find jobs. “The students are interning outside or preparing for exams and cannot come in person. They have already identified their favorite enterprises, so we teachers come to submit resumes on their behalf.” She said, “The college has majors such as software technology, animation, VR and artificial intelligence, which are highly compatible with Guangzhou’s key industries. We have made full preparations and have submitted resumes to several enterprises. We hope to help students seize this opportunity with the recruitment platform built by the government.”
