On December 22, the 2025 Conference on the Integrated Development of Culture, Tourism and Commerce & Investment Promotion Conference for the Digital Cultural and Entertainment Industry of Haizhu District was held at the East Tower of the International Media Harbour. The conference focused on promoting the 2026 Guangzhou Haizhu Spring Festival Flower Market project.
At the conference, the relevant person in charge of the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Haizhu District stated that the core highlights of this flower market are mainly reflected in three aspects:
First, the time-honored riverside charm. This riverside flower market is situated along the stretch from Binjiang West Road to Baogang Avenue, making it the only riverside flower market in the whole city. Citizens and tourists can stroll along the flower streets, admire the river scenery, immerse themselves in the traditional custom of visiting flower fairs, and experience the unique Chinese New Year vibe of Haizhu.
Second, the bustling local life of Jiangnan. If the riverside flower market embodies Haizhu’s cultural traditions of the Chinese New Year, the flower market in the Jiangnanxi Business District is the epitome of the most vibrant local festive liveliness and appeal. By integrating three major areas—the Jiangnandong Flower Street, R&F Haizhu City and Yaoxi Flower Market, and launching a variety of activities such as interactive games, tourists can truly experience the authentic and vivid festive atmosphere of Guangzhou in the streets and alleys.
Third, the trendy waterfront vitality. A groundbreaking innovation of the 2026 Haizhu Flower Market is the launch of the Waterfront Spring Festival Flower Market, with five themed trendy markets laid out around Canton Tower, Huangpu Village, Pazhou and other areas. In addition, the Waterfront Flower Market will join hands with the national tour of Valorant by Tencent, integrating esports, games and trendy culture with urban characteristics, to present citizens and tourists with an entirely new cultural and tourism consumption experience for the Spring Festival.
