On the morning of December 8, the High-Quality Development Conference of Guangdong (Zhaoqing) Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area (hereinafter referred to as the “Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area”) and the Signing, Commencement, Completion and Production Launch Event of Key Projects in the Fourth Quarter of 2025 were held in the Fuxi West Area of the municipal-administered starting zone of the Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area. Relevant leaders of the four major municipal teams including Zhang Aijun, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and Xu Xiaoxiong, Mayor of the city, as well as representatives of key merchants attended the event, witnessing together that a number of key projects opened a new chapter of accelerated construction and rapid progress.

On behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Xu Xiaoxiong extended congratulations on the smooth holding of the signing, commencement, completion and production launch event of key projects, and expressed gratitude to the majority of entrepreneurs and people from all walks of life who have long cared about and supported Zhaoqing’s development. He pointed out that attaching greater importance to the development of the real economy and building a more internationally competitive modern industrial system is the earnest entrustment of General Secretary Xi Jinping to Guangdong, and also the top priority for Zhaoqing to implement the decision-making arrangements of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The fruitful achievements displayed at this event mark that the development of the Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area has entered a gratifying harvest period, which is of great significance for Zhaoqing to adhere to the real economy as the foundation and manufacturing as the pillar, and promote high-quality development. Looking forward to the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, Zhaoqing will focus on the positioning of building a new growth pole in the Pearl River Delta and a gateway hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area facing Southwest China, fully commit to boosting the economy, developing industries and pursuing growth, promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, effectively lay out emerging industries and future industries, comprehensively build a modern industrial system, and demonstrate Zhaoqing’s responsibility and make Zhaoqing’s contributions to the overall development of the province. The Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area is an important strategic area for Zhaoqing to drive high-quality development, accelerate the integration of industry, city and population, and unswervingly “look eastward and catch up eastward”. After only more than two years of construction, it has emerged as a hot spot for enterprise investment and output, achieving the “Zhaoqing speed” of industrial development. It is hoped that more enterprises will continue to favor, invest in and promote the Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area, and jointly move towards a brighter and more splendid future with it. Zhaoqing will always adhere to the concept of “projects as the king and enterprises first”, strengthen the whole-life-cycle management and service for enterprise projects, polish the brand of “Zhaoqing Service, Progress Every Day” with first-class business environment, and continuously create a new situation of win-win development through government-enterprise cooperation.
During the event, 50 key projects with a total investment of 25.372 billion yuan were signed, 90 projects with a total investment of 25.896 billion yuan started construction, and 72 key projects with a total investment of 21.308 billion yuan were completed and put into production. These projects cover multiple industrial fields such as new energy vehicles, new energy storage, high-end equipment manufacturing and new materials, as well as supporting infrastructure projects in the park, injecting strong impetus into the further optimization of the industrial structure and the accelerated construction of a modern industrial park in the Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area. At the event site, policies such as “Park Loan” and “Zero Rent” were also released, and contents including the “developed land investment promotion” model, the planning of the Suijiang Area, industrial funds, and industrial chain supply and demand were promoted, helping enterprises in the park achieve coordinated development and attracting more outstanding enterprises to “settle down” in the Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area.
Before the event, municipal leaders including Zhang Aijun and Xu Xiaoxiong visited the sites of projects such as the Ailant Intelligent Testing Equipment Production Project, Chengzi Automation Manufacturing Base, Huahao Weiye LED Device and Module Production and Manufacturing Project, Haobo Window Control Intelligent System Project, and Yanchuang Optical Protective Film New Material Project in the Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area, inspecting the development achievements in terms of industrial project investment and construction, enterprise technological research, and industrial chain coordination.
On the same day of the event, the “Foreign Media Perspective · Focus on Zhaoqing Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area” activity was also carried out. Through the lenses and pens of more than a dozen mainstream media at the central, provincial and municipal levels, it comprehensively demonstrated the development vitality, industrial agglomeration effect and investment attraction of the Large-Scale Industrial Agglomeration Area, creating a strong atmosphere for Zhaoqing’s high-quality development and modernization drive.
