From December 5 to 7, the 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Public Cultural and Tourism Products (Dongguan) Procurement Fair (hereinafter referred to as “this Fair”) was held at the Dongguan Cultural Center. Dongguan Hsu Fu Chi Foods Co., Ltd. made its debut at the Fair, showcasing its brand-new 2026 New Year Candy Series.

A relevant person in charge of Hsu Fu Chi stated that despite being the first participation, the on-site atmosphere of the Greater Bay Area Cultural & Tourism Fair was impressive. “This is not only a platform for cultural project docking, but also a stage for ideological collisions and industrial integration. We deeply felt the strong cultural vitality and market potential of the Greater Bay Area. In particular, the ‘culture + industry’ practice model has brought important inspiration for brand development.”

For this exhibition, Hsu Fu Chi focused on the theme of “Heritage of Classics + Innovation & Upgrading”, highlighting its brand-new 2026 New Year Candy Series. Among them, the New Year Candy Bucket draws design inspiration from the prosperous Tang Dynasty, with patterns derived from Tang Dynasty costumes. The packaging integrates Tang Dynasty artistic elements, and the newly painted waistband with steed patterns symbolizes “immediate success”, making the product a “edible carrier of traditional culture”. The Crisp Candy Bucket has achieved dual innovation in craftsmanship and culture—technologically, the sugar-pulling and filling-wrapping techniques have been upgraded, with the number of layers increased to 128 for a more crispy taste; in terms of design, it adopts the shape of a treasure basin, integrates auspicious symbols such as the sixteen-petal flower (a homophone for “smooth progress all the way”), and restores the ancient sugar-making scene through illustrations, conveying the spirit of craftsmanship and cultural connotation.

In addition to New Year candies, Hsu Fu Chi also exhibited its newly upgraded Gift Box Series of candies and pastries. The Family Reunion Series takes “family” as the emotional core, integrating various categories of products such as candies, pastries and biscuits to meet the needs of all age groups and strengthen the emotional association of “family reunion”. The Dragon & Horse Blessing Series takes “vigor and vitality” as the cultural core, adopting new Chinese aesthetic design, making the gift boxes both practical and collectible, and becoming “contemporary symbols of good fortune”.

In recent years, Hsu Fu Chi has continuously promoted the integration of traditional culture and modern consumption. Taking the Spring Festival as an example, through the continuous upgrading of classic products such as Sachima, crisp candies and New Year candies, as well as gift boxes rich in Chinese-style aesthetic design, the brand has preserved and inherited the shared “New Year flavor” memories of the Chinese people, injecting new vitality into traditional food in the modern era.

“We hope that through the Fair, we can demonstrate that Hsu Fu Chi is not only a snack brand, but also an inheritor and innovator of Chinese food culture,” the person in charge said. It is expected that in the future, we can cooperate with the Fair, more cultural institutions and intangible cultural heritage inheritors to jointly develop products and experiences that integrate tradition and trends, enabling the brand to better integrate into the cultural life of the Greater Bay Area and contribute to the industrial innovation of “food + culture”.

It is reported that this Fair focused on the high-quality development of public cultural services, attracting more than 300 participating units covering cultural creativity, intangible cultural heritage revitalization, cultural and tourism integration and other fields. It has built an efficient docking platform for enterprises and cultural institutions, further promoting the ecological co-construction and value symbiosis of the cultural industry in the Greater Bay Area.
