To effectively carry out the work of supporting towns and villages through stationed teams and boost the “100-County, 1,000-Town and 10,000-Village High-Quality Development Program”, Zhong Donghai, Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Huidong County Committee, led a delegation to conduct an inspection on the rural revitalization work involving town – and village – supporting efforts in Renshan Town on December 2. Relevant member units of the stationed assistance team for Renshan Town and responsible persons of Renshan Town participated in the inspection activity.
Zhong Donghai and his entourage made an on – site visit to Laokeng Village to inspect the progress of several key projects and initiatives. These included the advancement of the “100 – County, 1,000 – Town and 10,000 – Village High-Quality Development Program” and rural revitalization efforts, the upgrading and renovation of village roads in Dadun Village, the ecological restoration of mangroves in the sea area of Dabu Tun, as well as the construction of municipal roads in Changpai. They carefully listened to the relevant work reports.
At the joint forum and coordination meeting on the work of supporting towns and villages through stationed teams, after being briefed on the progress of such work in Renshan Town, Zhong Donghai emphasized that consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation constitutes the prerequisite for rural revitalization. Notably, this year marks the final year of the 14th Five-Year Plan period and a crucial year for Guangdong Province’s “100-County, 1,000-Town and 10,000-Village High-Quality Development Program” to initially show results after three years of implementation. Fully promoting the cultivation of model towns under the program and advancing rural revitalization efforts fully demonstrates the determination to implement the decisions and arrangements made by the Central Government as well as the provincial, municipal and county authorities, the confidence in driving related work forward, and the sense of responsibility of leading cadres.
He required all member units and the stationed assistance team to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the key speeches and instructions delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection tour in Guangdong. They should push forward the work of supporting the town and villages from a higher strategic perspective, take a pragmatic and responsible approach, and work together with united efforts. The goal is to open up a new chapter for high-quality development of rural revitalization and the “100-County, 1,000-Town and 10,000-Village High-Quality Development Program” in Renshan Town, and contribute new wisdom and strength to the development and construction of the Renping Peninsula in Renshan Town.
Responsible representatives from Renshan Town, Huidong County Rural Revitalization Bureau and relevant assistance member units delivered speeches and conducted in-depth discussions on existing problems and subsequent work plans.
