From December 16 to 18, the 2025 Production and Marketing Matchmaking Event for Agricultural and Sideline Products in Poverty-alleviated Areas was held at the Green Agricultural Products Production and Supply Base of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Guangdong·Huizhou) in Huizhou City. As the host of this event, the Huizhou Exhibition Hall stood out as one of the highlights of the entire exhibition area with its abundant exhibits, distinct regional features and prominent brand image, attracting a large number of purchasers to stop for negotiations and in-depth cooperation talks in a lively atmosphere on site.
Stepping into the Huizhou Exhibition Hall, a wide range of characteristic agricultural products greeted visitors’ eyes. Huizhou tea of superior quality exuded a rich fragrance; the dried lychees and fresh fruit juice series of Guiwei and Nuomici varieties, which were mentioned in the poems of Su Dongpo, tasted sweet and refreshing; the high-quality local rice featured plump grains. A great variety of representative “Huizhou flavors” were displayed in a concentrated manner, dazzling the visitors. It is learned that the Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Huizhou City organized more than 300 agricultural enterprises and cooperatives from four districts and three counties across the city to participate in the event, and carefully selected over 1,500 kinds of characteristic agricultural products for exhibition, covering cereals, oils, rice, flour, fruits, tea drinks, fresh food ingredients and intensive processed products and other categories. This exhibition presented a systematic display of the achievements in the whole-chain development of modern agriculture in Huizhou, stretching “from the farmland to the dining table”.
In recent years, centering closely on the strategic goal of rural vitalization, Huizhou City has given full play to its own resource endowments, continuously consolidated the foundation of agricultural production, vigorously cultivated new types of agricultural business entities, actively developed the intensive processing of agricultural products, and strived to broaden the channels for production and marketing matchmaking. This participation is not only a concentrated promotion of Huizhou’s characteristic agricultural products, but also a comprehensive demonstration of the development level of modern agriculture and the achievements of rural vitalization in the city. It has effectively raised the popularity and influence of regional public brands such as Huizhou Preserved Vegetables, Huidong Potatoes and Longmen New Year Mandarins, and helped to further strengthen the competitiveness of Huizhou’s agricultural products in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and even the national market, gathering momentum and empowering the high-quality development of the agricultural industry.
During the exhibition, the Huizhou Exhibition Hall was bustling with people, with negotiation and consulting voices rising one after another. A great many merchants conducted in-depth exchanges with Huizhou’s participating enterprises and reached a number of preliminary cooperation intentions. The exhibition objectives of “showcasing achievements, promoting trade and deepening cooperation” were successfully achieved, laying a solid foundation for further deepening production and marketing matchmaking and promoting the coordinated development of the industry in the follow-up stage.
