On December 10, entrusted by the Standing Committee of Huizhou Municipal People’s Congress, the Standing Committee of Huidong County People’s Congress organized the deputies to the 13th Huizhou Municipal People’s Congress elected in Huidong County and divided them into three groups to carry out collective inspection activities.
Wu Xiaojun and Xiao Kaibin, leaders of Huidong County, participated in the activity of the first group. During the inspection, the deputies of the first group conducted on-site inspections of the progress of the urban flood control and drainage system upgrade project in Pingshan Sub-district and Dalin Sub-district. It is understood that the urban flood control and drainage system upgrade project is a county-level people’s livelihood practical project in 2025. So far, a total investment of about 100 million yuan has been completed, and the overall progress has reached 50% of the total.
The municipal people’s congress deputies who participated in the inspection stated that livelihood projects are related to the vital interests of the masses. It is necessary to closely monitor the progress, strictly control the quality, and ensure that practical matters are done solidly and good things are done well. The deputies will continue to play the role of a bridge and link, timely collect and feedback the opinions of the masses, actively put forward suggestions for promoting the modernization of urban governance and improving the comprehensive capacity of disaster prevention and mitigation, and earnestly fulfill the solemn commitment of “the people elect me as a deputy, and I serve the people as a deputy”.
