On December 19, Gong Zubing, Director of the Standing Committee of the Longgang District People’s Congress, led a delegation to Yuanshan Subdistrict to conduct an inspection and satisfaction evaluation of the livelihood projects in Longgang District for 2025. Guo Yantong, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the District People’s Congress, attended the event.
On the same day, the delegation inspected the implementation progress of the Yuanshan Subdistrict Culture and Sports Center, Shijin School Affiliated to The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Futong Road Community Park and Renmei School of Longgang Foreign Language School (Group) in succession, and listened to on-site briefings delivered by the district and subdistrict competent departments.
At the symposium, the District Construction Works Bureau and the District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports reported on the completion of the projects including “Completion and commissioning of the Longgang International Art Center and Yuanshan Subdistrict Culture and Sports Center, as well as the official operation of the Culture and Sports Centers in Bantian and Baolong Subdistricts”. The Longgang Administration Bureau of Shenzhen Transport Bureau reported on the fulfillment of the traffic-related livelihood projects, which are specified as “Smoothing the traffic flow of 13 roads, completing the handover of more than 150 roads, renovating 10 of the most congested road sections, constructing 70 kilometers of non-motor vehicle lanes and optimizing over 35 public transport routes”.
Based on the field inspections and symposium reports, the deputies raised questions and put forward suggestions regarding the detailed implementation of the projects, and the relevant functional departments of the district and subdistricts responded to each point one by one. Subsequently, the deputies to the People’s Congress carried out a satisfaction evaluation on the implementation of the livelihood projects in Longgang District for 2025.
Gong Zubing fully affirmed the earnest performance of duties by the deputies to the People’s Congress and the work achievements made by the relevant functional departments so far. He pointed out that Yuanshan Subdistrict and the relevant functional departments shall earnestly absorb the opinions and suggestions put forward by the deputies, closely focus on the problems arising in the advancement of the projects, conduct in-depth research, objectively assess their rationality and the feasibility of rectification, and effectively promote the high-quality implementation and effectiveness of all livelihood projects. He expressed the hope that the deputies to the People’s Congress will further carry out solid inspection and research work, extensively solicit public opinions, develop high-quality research outcomes, and pool the strengths of the People’s Congress for the formulation of the 15th Five-Year Plan.
