To effectively carry out safety risk prevention work in the renewable resource recycling industry at the end of the year and the beginning of the new year and eliminate potential safety hazards, Longxi Sub-district held a promotion meeting on the investigation of hidden safety hazards in renewable resources on December 10. Liang Jiguang, Deputy Director of the People’s Congress Working Committee of Longxi Sub-district, relevant functional departments, and cadres in charge of related work from all villages (communities) attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Yang Zhizhong, Director of the Economic Development Office, focused on conveying the core content of the Notice on the Work of Comprehensive Investigation and Rectification of Hidden Safety Hazards in the Renewable Resource Recycling Industry at the End of the Year and the Beginning of the New Year Across the County. He pointed out that the end of the year and the beginning of the new year is a period when safety accidents are prone to occur frequently. If potential hazards such as fire safety, electricity safety, and environmental compliance existing in renewable resource recycling stations are not rectified in a timely manner, safety accidents are highly likely to happen. All participating units and village (community) authorities must attach great importance to this investigation and rectification work.
Liang Jiguang emphasized three key points: First, deepen ideological understanding and resolutely shoulder the political responsibility of rectification work. All villages (communities) and relevant functional departments should effectively prioritize the investigation and rectification of hidden safety hazards in the renewable resource recycling industry, resolutely overcome paralysis and fluke mentality, and implement all investigation and rectification work with a sense of responsibility of “being on high alert at all times”. Second, adhere to the combination of departmental and regional management, and compact the work responsibilities of all parties. All villages (communities) should take the lead in organizing comprehensive investigations of renewable resource recycling stations within their jurisdictions, assign dedicated personnel to be responsible, and strengthen daily inspections and dynamic management. All relevant functional departments should take the initiative based on their responsibilities, strengthen professional supervision and business guidance, and effectively ensure the orderly and in-depth development of the rectification work. Third, strengthen coordination and linkage to improve the efficiency of problem disposal. It is necessary to enhance inter-departmental information exchange and resource integration, conduct joint research and judgment and collaborative disposal of complex issues involving multiple functions during the rectification process, and form a working mechanism of rapid response, joint disposal, and closed-loop problem resolution, so as to ensure that hidden hazards are not backlogged and risks are not out of control, and firmly hold the bottom line of safety.

After the meeting, Liang Jiguang led a team to conduct on-site investigations at 3 renewable resource recycling stations in the areas of Dianzicheng Road and Qiugang Village. The investigation team focused on inspecting the configuration of fire-fighting equipment, circuit laying, standardization of waste stacking, and business qualifications of the stations. For the hidden safety hazards identified, rectification notices were issued on-site, specifying the rectification time limit and requirements, and dedicated personnel were arranged to follow up on the rectification progress to ensure that the hidden hazards are eliminated in a timely manner, laying a solid foundation for the safety and stability of the renewable resource recycling industry in the entire sub-district at the end of the year and the beginning of the new year.
