To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, guide Party members, cadres and a large number of veterans to cultivate a profound sense of loyalty to the Party and patriotism, and unswervingly follow the Party’s guidance and march forward under its leadership, the Luohu District Bureau of Veterans Affairs held a lecture on promoting the implementation of the spirit of the plenary session on the afternoon of December 23.
Liu Guohong, a member of the District Party Committee Lecture Group, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the China (Shenzhen) Comprehensive Development Research Institute, was invited to deliver the lecture to all Party members and cadres of the bureau as well as some representative veteran Party members. In his lecture, starting from General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the “Recommendations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development” adopted at the session, President Liu gave a comprehensive and in-depth interpretation of the spirit of reform and innovation embodied in the Recommendations for the 15th Five-Year Plan. The lecture combined theoretical depth with strong practical relevance, presenting a thorough, comprehensive, vivid and lively analysis.
After the lecture, representative veteran Party members all stated that they had gained a great deal from attending the event. They pledged to always abide by the Party’s lines, principles and policies, forge ahead in the direction pointed out by General Secretary Xi Jinping, retain their lofty aspirations even after retirement, take on new responsibilities, spread positive energy, and make greater contributions to society. Moving forward, the Luohu District Bureau of Veterans Affairs will continue to innovate forms and carriers, steadily promote the in-depth understanding and effective implementation of the spirit of the plenary session in the field of veteran affairs, and encourage all Party members and cadres to perform their duties diligently, focus on the key tasks formulated during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, and bravely take on responsibilities. It will also use the Party’s innovative theories to educate and guide veterans, effectively uniting their hearts and pooling their efforts, so as to provide a strong political and ideological guarantee for the high-quality development of veteran affairs in Luohu.
