At 7:30 on December 14th, following the sound of the starter’s pistol, the 2025 Shenzhen Nanshan Half Marathon officially began. Twenty thousand runners dashed along the beautiful coastal track, embodying the relentless spirit of perseverance through their strides.
After intense competition, two Ethiopian athletes claimed the men’s and women’s titles respectively, both breaking the race records. Among Chinese runners, Li Jinhao took the men’s crown with a time of 1 hour 5 minutes and 46 seconds, while Yang Dinghong and Li Zhengyue secured the second and third places. In the women’s category, Zhu Qing successfully defended her title with a time of 1 hour 12 minutes and 2 seconds, with Deng Chunyan and He Fang finishing second and third—showcasing the strong capabilities of domestic runners.
This year’s race adopted the classic “T-shaped” track of the Nanshan Half Marathon, hailed as “Half Mountains and Waters, Half City”. The route passed by iconic landmarks including Shenzhen Bay Bridge and Talent Park, perfectly integrating mountains, sea and urban scenery. On the race day, the 20,000 runners turned into a flowing landscape, striding forward steadily between the coastline and the city skyline, forming an endless tide of participants.
