Reporters learned from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport that to promote service brand upgrading and continuously improve service quality, the airport has fully launched a newly designed boarding pass. This upgrade is based on passenger experience; through multiple optimizations of colors, icons and fonts, it has created a “travel business card” that combines practicality, aesthetic value and collection significance.

The new boarding pass has specially enlarged the font size of key information such as flight number, boarding gate, boarding time and seat number. It has also optimized the layout and strengthened the information hierarchy, improving the readability for elderly passengers and those with visual impairments.

In addition, the new boarding pass has a hidden practical “easter egg”. Passengers only need to scan the exclusive QR code on the boarding pass to quickly follow the “Airport Link” service platform and query one-stop travel information in real time, including flight dynamics, luggage status and airport transportation guidelines. Ms. Zang, who was scanning the code to experience the function on site, praised: “This function is very practical. I used to always worry about missing the boarding time. Now I can check the latest flight status at any time and keep track of my luggage, making travel more reassuring.”

For the first time, the new boarding pass adopts a “three-color aircraft porthole” design to intuitively display the flight boarding status. The porthole shapes use three colors: “sky blue, golden ear yellow and spring breeze green”, which correspond to the main exterior colors of the three terminals of Baiyun Airport respectively. With the visual language of “one color for one terminal building”, it cleverly integrates architectural landmark elements into the boarding certificate.
