“I’ve flown through so many airports, but the ‘Easy Security Check’ at Shenzhen Airport is truly seamless.” “The ‘Easy Security Check’ at Shenzhen Airport is incredibly fast—I arrived at the airport at 19:11 and finished security check by 19:17, without even having to take out my laptop!” Recently, netizens “Baibai Dousha” and “Jiusi Lingqi” posted separately on Xiaohongshu, praising the efficient security check service at Shenzhen Airport.
As the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush approaches, in response to the upcoming passenger flow peak, Shenzhen Airport has further upgraded its service guarantee. To improve security check efficiency and enhance passengers’ travel experience, the airport is currently stepping up the intelligent upgrading and renovation of its “Easy Security Check” lanes, replacing baggage inspection equipment with carry-on luggage CT scanners. The upgrading project will be completed before the Spring Festival travel rush. By then, the “Easy Security Check” lanes will leverage more advanced technologies and equipment to boost the accuracy and efficiency of security checks.
The “Easy Security Check” is a convenient initiative pioneered by Shenzhen Airport across the country. By adopting intelligent lanes, it not only eliminates the manual verification process, but also simplifies procedures through the application of a series of new security check technologies and equipment, including self-service verification gates, facial recognition systems, automatic baggage conveying devices, and millimeter-wave body scanners. Passengers do not need to take out items such as laptops and umbrellas separately during the security check, with the average clearance time shortened to about 3 minutes. Realizing the full-process self-service security check, it has optimized passengers’ clearance experience and won widespread praise. At present, there are 4 dedicated “Easy Security Check” lanes in the domestic departure area on the 4th floor of Shenzhen Airport Terminal 3, equipped with the most advanced and mature new technologies and equipment in the industry, leading the nation in terms of utilization rate and efficiency.
At the front end of the “Easy Security Check” lanes in the departure hall on the 4th floor of Shenzhen Airport Terminal 3, reporters saw passengers passing through the gates smoothly and orderly via face recognition, with no queuing congestion on site. “I choose the ‘Easy Security Check’ lane every time. I don’t need to take out my laptop during the check and can pass through quickly,” a passenger told reporters.
“The ‘Easy Security Check’ adopts intelligent security lanes and the most advanced technical equipment in China to realize full-process self-service security check for passengers,” introduced Hao Xiaomei, Assistant to the Captain of the Second Passenger Inspection Brigade of the Security Check Station of Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. “The ‘Easy Security Check’ is mainly designed for frequent flyers with good credit records. Passengers can submit advance applications and make reservations through Alipay or the ‘Easy Security Check’ mini-program. Currently, the ‘Easy Security Check’ is undergoing upgrading and renovation. After the upgrade, the baggage inspection equipment in all 4 ‘Easy Security Check’ lanes will be replaced with carry-on luggage CT scanners, further improving the security check efficiency.”
At the end of 2018, Shenzhen Airport took the lead in launching the “Easy Security Check” lanes, which were later promoted to civil aviation across the country. Since January 1, 2022, the “Easy Security Check” service has been put into operation at 41 large airports nationwide with an annual passenger throughput of over 10 million, further facilitating the travel of a large number of passengers and improving the efficiency of the civil aviation security check operation system.
