A 5,000-square-meter sea of flowers, over 300 varieties, plus the limited “Golden Romance” of the sulfur cosmos flower sea! On December 15th, the Shenzhen Urban Traditional Flower Event — the Chrysanthemum Show at East Lake Park — officially kicked off. With five themed exhibition areas and 100,000 pots of chrysanthemums blooming in full splendor, it presents a grand winter flower feast for the citizens.

This year’s chrysanthemum show, themed “Carry Forward Traditional Culture and Create a City IP”, covers a total exhibition area of over 5,000 square meters. It includes six color systems: red, pink, orange, yellow, green and white, with more than 300 chrysanthemum varieties competing for beauty. The exhibition has carefully created five themed exhibition areas:

  • The “Shades of Painting Scenery” at the West Gate uses traditional framed scenery art to create a poetic space;
  • The “Chrysanthemum Painted Fragrant Realm” in the Flower and Tree Garden integrates artistic aesthetics with natural landscapes;
  • The “Chrysanthemum Garden Fairy Trail” on the Sunny Lawn creates a dreamy colorful flower carpet;
  • The “Tracing the Fragrant Trail” at the West Second Gate showcases the concept of symbiosis between the city and the park;
  • The “Chrysanthemum Sculpture Dreamland” in the Flower and Tree Garden features childlike chrysanthemum art installations, making it a popular choice for parent-child families.

Among them, the nearly 1,000-square-meter sulfur cosmos flower sea in the Flower and Tree Garden, with golden blooms swaying in the wind, resembles rolling golden waves.

This chrysanthemum show will be open to the public free of charge for 21 days, from December 15, 2025 to January 4, 2026.
