Motorcycle Police Rush for 8 Minutes to Escort a Boy with Intestinal Obstruction to Hospital

Shenzhen Longgang motorcycle police escorted a 5-year-old boy with a recurrent intestinal obstruction to hospital in 8 minutes. The boy received timely treatment and was out of danger, with his family expressing sincere gratitude.

Recently, a young boy in Longgang suddenly suffered severe abdominal pain in an emergency situation. His family immediately turned to the on-duty motorcycle police officers for help. The Longgang motorcycle police quickly escorted the boy to hospital, winning precious time for his medical treatment.

At 11:08 a.m. on the day, Guo Yongwen, a motorcycle police officer from Baolong Squadron of Longgang Traffic Police Brigade, Shenzhen Public Security Bureau, was on duty at Shahe Intersection. A man holding a child rushed forward to seek help, stating that his 5-year-old son had a sudden relapse of intestinal obstruction with acute pain, and needed to be rushed to Shenzhen Longgang Central Hospital for emergency treatment, and he asked the motorcycle police to escort and clear the way for them.

After reporting the situation, Guo Yongwen immediately signaled Mr. Liu (the petitioner) to follow his motorcycle in the car. He activated the police siren and flashing lights, and signaled the vehicles ahead to give way all the way. At 11:09 a.m., the motorcycle police and the car carrying the sick child departed from Shahe-Baohe Intersection heading for the hospital. At 11:17 a.m., the vehicle arrived at the hospital safely. Guo Yongwen assisted the family in taking the child to the consulting room.

Mr. Liu said that he was taking his son out when the boy was overwhelmed by abdominal pain on the way. In his desperation, he spotted the motorcycle police officer on duty at the intersection and resolutely asked for help. “We are truly grateful to the motorcycle police officers for racing against time and winning the most critical moments for us!” Mr. Liu said gratefully afterwards. Thanks to the timely hospital transport, the child has been treated and is out of danger.
