On December 22, Wang Qiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department, led a team to Longgang District to inspect work safety at religious venues ahead of the holidays.
At Buji Christian Church, Wang Qiang carefully checked the venue’s fire-fighting equipment and emergency facilities. He gained a detailed understanding of the arrangements and management of group activities during Christmas Eve and Christmas, and visited the Exhibition Hall on the Sinicization of Christianity in Longgang District.
Wang Qiang stated that it is essential to earnestly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on work safety. In accordance with the unified arrangements of the Municipal Party Committee, we must perform the safety management of religious venues at the end and beginning of the year with a strong sense of responsibility. Adhering to the principle that people and life are paramount, we should re – deploy, re – implement and further strengthen work safety and emergency prevention and control in the religious field with a sense of responsibility that “we can never rest easy”. We must consolidate the main responsibility of religious venues, adhere to a problem – oriented approach, improve safety plans, and combine human and physical security measures to fully and meticulously implement various preventive measures, firmly hold the bottom line of work safety, and ensure that all activities at religious venues are carried out safely and in an orderly manner. We should systematically promote the Sinicization of religions in China, take core socialist values as the guide, and actively guide religions to adapt to socialist society.
Relevant responsible comrades from the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee (Municipal Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau) and Longgang District participated in the inspection.
