Let’s run together to embrace the New Year! Recently, registrations have officially opened for the “Smart Start for New Year’s Day, Sprint for 2026 · Huiyun Smart Run City-wide New Year Carnival”. It is learned that the event features three venues in total, two of which are located in Nanshan District: Shenzhen Bay Park Venue and Shan Hai Lian Cheng Venue.
The “Smart Start for New Year’s Day, Sprint for 2026 · Huiyun Smart Run City-wide New Year Carnival” will be held on January 1, 2026, inviting citizens to gather at the smart running tracks in the parks and ring in the first day of the new year as one. With three designated venues – Shenzhen Bay Park, Bijia Mountain-Lianhua Mountain, and Shan Hai Lian Cheng – the event offers diverse participation forms including running and hiking.
The Shenzhen Bay Park Venue hosts a Fun Run with two race categories on the day:
▶ The 11km Category is open to participants aged 16 and above, with the route: Haifeng Sports Square → Beiwan Egret Harbor (turn back) → Haifeng Sports Square.
▶ The 6km Category is open to participants aged 8 and above, and children under 12 must be accompanied by a registered parent/guardian. The route: Haifeng Sports Square → Crescent Valley (turn back) → Haifeng Sports Square.
The Shan Hai Lian Cheng Venue features a 20.85km Hiking Event on the same day. Participants will set off in four batches at different time slots, traversing Tanglang Mountain, Meilin Mountain, Yinhu Mountain and Bijia Mountain in succession. The hiking route: Panshan Highway Entrance (Start) → Qingyun Platform → Baichi Sky Ladder → West Meilin Mountain Ecological Corridor → East Yinhu Mountain Ecological Corridor → South Gate of Yinhu Mountain → Handmade Trail → Fulian Bridge (Finish).
