Recently, the Shenzhen Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau launched the “Starry Sky” Excellent Nature Education Selection Activity for Shenzhen parks. The Shiyan Wetland Park Nature Education Center (Shiyan NEC) won four awards in one fell swoop, namely “Shenzhen’s Best Nature Education Center”, “Shenzhen’s Best Nature Education Trail”, “Shenzhen’s Outstanding Nature Education Lecturer” and “Shenzhen’s Outstanding Nature Education Institution”, becoming the only award-winning unit in Bao’an District.
The Shiyan Wetland Park Nature Education Center is located in the scenic Shiyan Wetland Park. The park has crisscrossing water areas where the Shiyan River flows in, and it is adjacent to the Shiyan-Tiegang Reservoir, together forming a large-scale freshwater wetland ecosystem.
