Tong Yating Wins Bronze in Women’s Foil at National Para and Special Olympics

Hong Kong fencer Tong Yating claimed bronze in the Women’s Foil Class B Individual Event at the national Para and Special Olympics wheelchair fencing competition, which kicked off a six-day run at Ma On Shan Sports Centre with four titles decided on day one.

The Wheelchair Fencing Competition of the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games has kicked off, with Hong Kong’s Tong Yating securing a bronze medal for Hong Kong in the Women’s Foil Class B Individual Event.

The six-day wheelchair fencing competition gets underway today at Ma On Shan Sports Centre. On the first day, four events were completed, including the men’s épée, women’s épée, foil Class A individual, and foil Class B individual events, with the gold, silver, and bronze medalists crowned successfully.
