To promote the transformation of innovative achievements and help start-ups stand out, the University of Macau will hold the “UM Extreme Makers – 4th University of Macau Innovation and Entrepreneurship Exhibition” on December 15, themed “Integration of Enterprises and Academia, Co-building a Diverse New Ecosystem”. The event will gather over 100 Macao small and medium-sized enterprises, including start-ups incubated by the University of Macau. Interested parties are welcome to participate.
This year’s “Extreme Makers” features a rich array of content. It will include multiple keynote speeches, with internationally influential industry authorities invited to deliver special sharing sessions to discuss cutting-edge trends and practical experience. There will also be roundtable forums where industry leaders, experts and scholars will jointly explore diverse ecosystems, policy support and capital assistance. In addition, outstanding UM start-ups will conduct on-site roadshows to showcase their achievements.
Organized by the University of Macau’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, supported by the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund, co-organized by UM Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai UM Science and Technology Research Institute, and title-sponsored by Wynn Macau Limited, “Extreme Makers” aims to showcase UM’s industry-university-research achievements to entrepreneurs, enterprises, investors, public institutions and other stakeholders. It will build a communication bridge for Macao’s industrial upgrading, diversified development and cross-industry cooperation, help find high-tech partners, and enhance the competitive capacity of participants.
The opening ceremony of “Extreme Makers” will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 15, in Mandarin, at the Multi-function Hall (N1-G014) of Juxian Building, University of Macau. A series of forums, roadshows and other activities will be held throughout the day.
