To uphold the volunteer service spirit and highlight the exemplary strength, the Red Star Volunteer Service Team of Veterans in Yantian District recently organized and carried out the 2025 themed volunteer service activity entitled Salute the Red Star · Shine Bright in Yantian. More than 60 participants attended the event, including responsible comrades from the Bureau of Veterans Affairs of Yantian District, sub-district offices, the Administration Bureau of Chung Ying Street, as well as representatives of veteran volunteers.

At the start of the activity, a promotional video of the Red Star Volunteer Service Team of Veterans in Yantian District was played on site. Subsequently, the leader of the district-level Red Star Volunteer Service Team of Veterans delivered a 2025 annual work summary report, which systematically reviewed the solid achievements made by the district-wide volunteer service teams in tourist guidance, national defense education, school escort services, cultural civilization building, emergency rescue, marine environmental protection and other fields. He stated that the service team will continue to optimize the organizational mechanism and strengthen responsibility commitment; through vertical coordination and consensus building, the team will further deliver quality volunteer services and tell compelling stories of the Red Star volunteers.
The assembly announced the evaluation results of the 2025 Red Star Volunteer Service in Yantian District, and honorary certificates were successively awarded to the representative winners of the Excellent Red Star Volunteer Service Teams and the Top 10 Red Star Volunteers.
Appointment certificates were presented to the newly appointed captain, vice captain, political instructor and instructors of the service team at the meeting. A flag-awarding ceremony was also held for the newly founded UAV Volunteer Service Team of Veterans in Yantian District, marking the official incorporation of this professional team, with UAV technology as its core competency, into the Red Star volunteer service system. In the future, empowered by science and technology, the team will play a unique role in emergency inspection, search and rescue, science popularization and publicity, contributing to grassroots governance and the development of a safe community.
In his concluding speech, the Director of the Bureau of Veterans Affairs of Yantian District spoke highly of the dedication and accomplishments of the Red Star Volunteer Service Team. He emphasized that all service teams should closely align with the high-quality development requirements of Shenzhen as a City of Volunteers, adhere to the guidance of Party building, and focus on the goal of serving economic and social development, and serving the development of national defense and military forces. It is required to deeply integrate volunteer services into key areas such as grassroots governance and emergency rescue, continuously enrich the connotation of services, expand the scope of services and innovate service forms, so as to contribute a more solid “Red Star” strength to the development of Yantian District.
