On December 24, 2025, Deng Feibo, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yantian District Committee and District Chief, presided over the 27th (Expanded) Meeting of the Party Leadership Group of the District Government in 2025. The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s recent important speeches and instructions, and discussed and arranged the measures for the district government system to implement them effectively.
The meeting emphasized the need to earnestly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches delivered at the Central Economic Work Conference, the meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and the symposium with non-Party personages, as well as the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference. It called for aligning with standards, ensuring solid implementation, and striving to secure a strong finish in the annual economic development drive. Efforts should be made to quickly unify thoughts and actions with the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and the Central Economic Work Conference, race against time, maintain strict overall coordination, and strive for the best possible annual results. We must identify precise focal points for Yantian to implement the strategy of expanding domestic demand, launch an early and comprehensive package of initiatives themed “Celebrate the Chinese New Year in Yantian”, and make substantial efforts in boosting cultural and tourism consumption, promoting key consumption growth, and attracting high-end consumption backflow. We should conduct forward-looking assessments of the international economic and trade situation, further explore emerging markets, consolidate Yantian Port’s position as an international shipping hub, and build a globally renowned import base for international brands and a national distribution center by leveraging the development of national key cold – chain logistics bases and pelagic fishery bases.
The meeting pointed out that we must earnestly study and implement the spirit of the important instructions conveyed by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the forum on the ideological and moral construction of minors, and wholeheartedly safeguard the healthy growth of the younger generation. We need to improve the home – school – society collaborative education mechanism, strengthen schools’ main responsibility for education, enhance the influence of moral education brands such as “Secretaries and Principals Teaching Ideological and Political Courses” and “Mobile Ideological and Political Courses”, attach importance to and strengthen family education, improve social psychological counseling services and model – selecting initiatives, and focus on research on minors’ physical and mental health issues such as “resilience against setbacks and adversity”. In line with the target of 400,000-450,000 permanent residents during the 15th Five – Year Plan period, we should plan and construct school places in a scientific way, ensure the rational and centralized layout of educational spaces released by urban renewal projects, and truly develop every school in the neighborhood into an excellent one in the eyes of residents.
The meeting required that we must safeguard the security bottom line, pay close attention to security work in key areas, fully implement the “Four – in – Place” principle, and make every effort to protect the urban operation security during the year – end and New Year period. We should carry out heart – to – heart and practical assistance and consolation activities, and strengthen care for groups in need such as Party members with financial difficulties, elderly people with special hardships, children in difficult situations, and people with disabilities. We need to intensify price monitoring of key daily necessities, guide farmers’ markets and supermarkets to stabilize prices and ensure supply, so as to ensure a stable supply of food, grain, fruits and other daily necessities for residents from now until the Spring Festival. We should strengthen overall coordination and scheduling, make proper arrangements for on – duty work, emergency plans and material reserves, and strictly implement the systems of dual – leadership, dual – on – duty, dual – standby, 24 – hour on – duty, and information reporting.
