To further enhance the effectiveness of safety publicity and education, expand the reach of publicity, and achieve the goal of “educating one child and influencing one family”, on the morning of December 2nd during the school dismissal period, the Ping’an and Legal Affairs Office of Zhenlong Town, in conjunction with the Zhenlong Traffic Police Squadron and Changlong Village Committee, launched a targeted publicity and education campaign on anti-drug and traffic safety at the entrance of Changlong Primary School and its surrounding areas, taking advantage of the time when parents gathered to pick up their children.
During the campaign, staff distributed promotional materials such as anti-drug knowledge brochures and traffic safety reminders to students and parents. The materials, featuring easy-to-understand language and vivid pictures and texts, focused on introducing the harms and prevention of drugs, daily travel safety rules, and the importance of “wearing helmets and seat belts”. To enhance the fun and acceptance of the publicity, the campaign specially prepared small promotional gifts such as school supplies and environmental protection bags printed with safety slogans, popularizing knowledge while distributing them. Combining the promotional items, staff patiently explained relevant safety key points, attracting many students and parents to participate actively and interact enthusiastically. The atmosphere at the scene was lively, and many parents said that this kind of publicity method that is “visible, accessible and acceptable” makes safety knowledge easier for children to remember, and also reminds themselves to set an example at all times to jointly protect their children’s safe growth path.
This “off-peak publicity” campaign, through the friendly form of distributing “materials + gifts”, has effectively extended the reach of publicity, realizing the connection of safety education from inside the campus to the school gate and the transmission from students to families.
