On December 1st, the Zhongkai High – tech Zone Branch of Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment held a collective learning seminar (expanded) of the Theoretical Learning Center Group of the Party Leadership Group. The seminar aimed to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions delivered during his inspection tour of Guangdong and his attendance at the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games, as well as the spirit of the cadre conferences held at the provincial, municipal and district levels. Zhang Min, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the branch, presided over the meeting, which was attended by cadres above the middle level and representatives of young cadres.
At the seminar, the speakers, centering on the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions during his inspection tour of Guangdong and his attendance at the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games, shared their learning experiences and conducted in – depth discussions in close combination with their job responsibilities and practical work situations, so as to ensure that the spirit was thoroughly understood and firmly rooted in the mind.
The meeting put forward four requirements. Firstly, it is necessary to raise political standing and unify ideological understanding and actions with a high sense of consciousness. The study, publicity and implementation of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions during his inspection tour of Guangdong and his attendance at the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games should be regarded as a major political task at present and in the period ahead. It should be integrated with the study and implementation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, as well as the series of important speeches and instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on Guangdong and ecological and environmental work. Efforts should be made to conduct integrated learning, implementation and enforcement, and take concrete actions to resolutely uphold the “Two Establishments” and firmly fulfill the “Two Safeguards”.
Secondly, it is essential to keep a close eye on the annual goals and strive for a successful year – end closing with a decisive attitude. It is necessary to firmly grasp General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important requirements for doing a good job before the end of the year, seize the crucial period of the year – end sprint, and promote the implementation of various tasks with the spirit of unwavering perseverance. We must always stay alert to environmental safety, conduct in – depth investigation and rectification of potential environmental risks with a sense of responsibility that keeps us on tenterhooks at all times, firmly hold the bottom line of environmental safety, and lay a solid foundation for a sound start of the 15th Five – Year Plan period.
Thirdly, we should focus on the core responsibilities and serve the overall situation of high – quality development with tangible achievements from solid work. We need to deeply understand the new expectations and requirements put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping for Guangdong’s development. Closely integrating with the functions and responsibilities of ecological and environmental protection, we should continuously push forward the tough battle against pollution. We must identify the entry points and key areas to serve the overall situation, constantly optimize and improve the institutional measures for serving high – quality development, and contribute ecological and environmental forces to the high – quality economic and social development of Zhongkai High – tech Zone.
Fourthly, it is imperative to strengthen team building and forge an loyal, honest and responsible iron army for ecological and environmental protection. We should thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on exercising full and rigorous self – governance of the Party, always put the Party’s political development in the primary position, strictly enforce political discipline and rules, continuously promote the improvement of work style, uphold integrity, and combat corruption. We should enhance professional competence and work style building, forge an iron army for ecological and environmental protection that is loyal, honest and responsible, so as to provide a strong guarantee for the successful completion of various tasks.
