On December 25th, Zhuhai Jinwan Airport reached a new milestone in its development: its annual passenger throughput exceeded 13 million for the first time, with an estimated full-year volume of 13.23 million, a year-on-year increase of 2%. Its cargo and mail throughput stood at approximately 40,000 tons, a year-on-year rise of 15%, achieving dual growth in passenger and cargo transportation.
Since its opening to traffic in 1995, Zhuhai Jinwan Airport has undergone 30 years of development and realized a leap from a regional airport to a hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Leveraging major transportation infrastructure such as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the Huangmaohai Cross-sea Passage, the airport has continuously optimized the layout of its airline network. In 2025, the airport focused on increasing flight frequencies to the three major economic circles of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta and the Chengdu-Chongqing region. Its domestic destinations have expanded to 78, with a coverage rate of 94% for key cities, and the number of high-frequency destinations has increased to 19.
In terms of ground transportation connection, Zhuhai Jinwan Airport has continuously improved its service system featuring air-ground linkage and seamless connection. At present, it operates 17 transportation routes covering 64 passenger stations, with more than 650 departures on average per day. The airport has built 12 city terminals in Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Macao and other places, and is actively advancing the construction of new stations in Jiangmen, Yangjiang and other cities.
