Maluan Subdistrict of Pingshan District Conducts Special Research on Assistance Connection and Industrial Collaboration in Hekou Town

Recently, Zhang Liang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Office of Maluan Subdistrict of Pingshan District, led a delegation to Hekou Town, Luhe County, Shanwei City. To implement the deployment of the Provincial Party Committee’s Project for High-quality Development of Counties, Towns and Villages and the relevant work requirements of the municipal and district governments, the delegation carried out an in-depth special research on paired assistance for towns and villages as well as industrial collaboration, and strived to boost the county revitalization and high-quality development of the counterpart region.

During the research, a special forum was held between the two sides. Ye Buhuo, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Luhe County People’s Congress, You Yongjian, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hekou Town, and Chen Xuling, Captain of the Work Team for Paired Assistance to Hekou Town, briefed the delegation on the basic conditions of Hekou Town, featured agricultural products, industrial planning and layout, progress in rural revitalization, and the work of the assistance team. Centering on the objectives and tasks of the Project for High-quality Development of Counties, Towns and Villages, the two sides conducted pragmatic and in-depth exchanges on issues such as leveraging local resource endowments, fostering town-level industries, and promoting the coordinated development of urban and rural areas.

The research team conducted on-site inspections to the Xiaowei Industrial Park in Tiandun Village, agricultural planting bases, key enterprises, and Shiyong Building — a century-old overseas Chinese building with a long history. They thoroughly understood the development status of the local garment industry, the planting and processing of featured Phyllanthus emblica, as well as the operation of enterprises, the extension of industrial chains and the development challenges faced. The two sides discussed the feasible paths to help Hekou Town connect its high-quality agricultural products and characteristic industrial projects with international resources and integrate into the supply chain system of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, by taking advantage of the window effect of Shenzhen hosting the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting 2026.

Moving forward, Maluan Subdistrict will closely follow the essential requirements of the Project for High-quality Development of Counties, Towns and Villages, further improve the regular mechanism for counterpart connection and collaboration, and push the paired assistance work to develop in greater depth. By strengthening joint industrial planning, complementary sharing of resources and mutual learning of experience, Maluan Subdistrict will work together with Hekou Town to solve development problems, help Hekou Town strengthen its characteristic industries and optimize the economic structure, and jointly build a benchmark for counterpart collaboration in the coordinated development of urban and rural areas. It will further advance the solid implementation of the Project for High-quality Development of Counties, Towns and Villages, and contribute to the overall high-quality development of the region.
