The end and beginning of a year is a period prone to various accidents, with a severe and complex work safety situation. To strengthen source management, effectively prevent and reduce all types of safety accidents, and ensure the stable operation of water plants, Pingshan District Water Affairs Bureau has recently carried out water supply safety inspections on 3 water supply plants under its jurisdiction.
The inspection team conducted special inspections on Daye Industrial Zone Water Plant, Kengzi Water Plant and Shahu Water Plant, gained a detailed understanding of the production and operation status of these plants as well as the progress of Phase I Project of Shahu Water Plant, and put forward work requirements for all water supply enterprises: first, strengthen responsibility. All water supply enterprises shall thoroughly analyze and judge the characteristics of work safety in the water affairs industry at the end and beginning of the year, deploy and carry out various safety prevention measures in a targeted manner, and continuously strengthen water supply safety guarantee with a sense of responsibility of “being on high alert at all times”. Second, improve the professional operation level. Water supply enterprises shall strengthen quality control over key links such as water production and transportation, continuously carry out pipe network patrols and water quality monitoring at all nodes, enhance monitoring, early warning and forecasting, and actively prevent and respond to various water supply emergencies to ensure water quality safety. Third, keep a close eye on the wage payment issue of workers in ongoing construction projects. Water supply enterprises shall strengthen organizational leadership, conduct a comprehensive investigation into the risks of wage arrears, intervene in mediation in advance, properly resolve disputes, and ensure that no wage arrears disputes arise due to project payment issues.
