Recently, the Working Department of Mass Organizations of Pingshan District (District Women’s Federation), in conjunction with the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Pingshan District, launched the themed care activity of “Starlight Escort” for children with autism. Twenty families with autistic children gathered as scheduled, and gained professional guidance and warm companionship through heartwarming interactions.
The activity integrated high-quality medical resources. Physicians from the Rehabilitation Department explained skills for emotional comfort and insomnia management with real cases, helping parents alleviate parenting anxiety and master scientific communication methods. The music interaction session was held in a lively atmosphere: under the guidance of therapists, autistic children played with maracas and moved to the rhythm, with music serving as a pressure-free communication medium for them to express themselves. Senior specialists from the Rehabilitation Department provided one-on-one free outpatient consultations, offering tailored guidance ranging from behavioral interpretation to resource connection, and promoted the integration of scientific rehabilitation concepts into daily parenting. Parents also shared experiences, poured out their hearts to each other during exchanges, and formed a warm mutual-support community.
This activity is a vivid practice for Pingshan District to improve the care service system for special groups and fulfill the commitment of “I Do Practical Things for the People”. Going forward, the Working Department of Mass Organizations of Pingshan District (District Women’s Federation) will continue to focus on the needs of families with autistic children, innovate service forms, pool social synergy, and build a social atmosphere of care and love for autistic children.
